Health Consultations
Holistic Health Consultations, Yuba City CA
Feeling off? Energy low? Tired of going over the same symptoms with no results? Labs are normal but something still doesn't feel right?
Holistic health consultations are tailored to you as the individual to find the root cause of your symptoms. In eastern medicine, symptoms are just the branches on a tree reflecting what is happening underground. Holistic health consultations go over your current symptoms, genetics, health history and more. Walk away with tools that includes lifestyle adjustments, herbal medicine, and dietary guidelines.
Medicine that asks deeper questions
-
Conventional medicine excels at identifying what is happening in the body. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda were built to understand why. Every consult weaves both so you leave not just with a protocol, but with an understanding of your own body.
-
Physical symptoms
What the body is expressing: pain, fatigue, cycles, digestion, skin, and energy
-
Emotional & mental patterns
In Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, emotions are medicine. Grief lives in the lungs. Worry in the spleen. We look there to see how this shapes your imbalance.
-
Genetics & history
IfWhat you inherited: family patterns, constitutional tendencies, and where the body has been before.
-
Collaboration with your doctors
If you're on medications or working with other providers, we work alongside them and not around them.

How a consult unfolds
1. Your full story
We begin with your history — not just medical, but how you've been living: sleep, stress, food, seasons, cycles, emotion
2. Pattern Recognition
Through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, we identify the patterns underneath the symptoms where the imbalance actually lives.
3. Labs if needed
We review any labs you've already had or order new ones. Assessing results through a holistic lens.
4. Your personalized plan
In the 60-min session: a written PDF protocol unique to youwith dietary, herbal, and lifestyle guidance rooted in both traditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can a consult help with fertility?
Absolutely. Fertility is one of the most common reasons clients seek a consult. Both TCM and Ayurveda have deep traditions around reproductive health and cycle regulation. A consult can help identify hormonal patterns, nutritional gaps, and lifestyle factors affecting fertility and can be combined with other LunaLei services like moxibustion, cupping, and doula support for a more integrated approach.
I also offer a dedicated Fertility Support pathway: learn more on the fertility page.
What's the difference a 30 minute and 60 minute consult?
The 30 minute session ($55) is a focused intake: great if you have a specific question, want to review existing lab work, or want to get a sense of whether this approach is right for you. You'll leave with initial recommendations and a clear next step.
The 60-minute deep dive ($150) is where we go all the way. It includes everything in the 30 minute session plus a personalized PDF protocol merging TCM and Ayurvedic dietary, herbal, and lifestyle guidance tailored specifically to your patterns and goals. ctly
What is actually in the PDF plan I receive?
Your PDF is a personalized protocol built from what we uncovered in your session. It typically includes dietary recommendations based on your TCM pattern and Ayurvedic constitution, herbal suggestions, lifestyle adjustments (sleep, movement, stress practices), and any seasonal or cycle specific guidance relevant to your situation.
It's written to be practical and livable, not a 40-page document you'll never open, but something you can actually use as a daily reference
I'm currently on medication. Can I still book a consult?
Yes and this is something I actively welcome. I work collaboratively with your existing care team. If you're on medications or currently working with a doctor or specialist, I'll factor that into your plan and can coordinate with your provider when appropriate.
Holistic and conventional care aren't enemies: they work better together, and I aim to be a bridge between them.
Do I need to order labs before my consult?
No you don't need any labs to book. Bring whatever you have (even years-old results can be useful), and if we decide additional testing would be helpful, I can order it directly for you with a local lab no referral required.
Many clients come in without any labs at all. The intake and pattern assessment alone gives us a lot to work with.
What's the difference between TCM and Ayurveda? Why use both?
Both are complete medical systems with thousands of years of clinical practice behind them. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) works through the lens of qi, meridians, and elemental patterns: it's exceptional at reading the body's functional state. Ayurveda works through constitutional types (doshas) and focuses on the relationship between your nature and your environment.
Together, they give us two different maps of the same territory. Where one system sees clearly, the other often adds depth. Your plan is written at the intersection of both.
How is this different from seeing a health coach or naturopath?
Health coaches generally focus on behavioral change: habits, mindset, accountability. Naturopathy uses a blend of nutritional and herbal medicine. What makes this work distinct is the dual-system lens: I'm trained specifically in TCM and Ayurveda, which means I'm reading your body through frameworks that go far beyond symptoms into pattern, constitution, season, and imbalance.
The goal isn't just to feel better, it's for you to understand your own body well enough to keep feeling better on your own.
